Books with maps and miles.

These are the best books and are pretty handy.

US Army Corps of Engineers

These are very good maps of the river, but don't show
roads going to the river.

DeLORME

They make these for ever state. However the gravel roads
of Iowa to the boat ramps received names in 1998, but it may
be some time before they are put in the books.

Missouri Dept of Conservation

These are good pampletes. They are a little out of date.
For instance, there is a new ramp at Jentell Breez. But they
do give you a good idea of the services available.
The ramps in the towns are not covered by these pampletes,
offer the most services.
The Ozark Waterways book tells about the floatable streams in
Missouri. Including miles on some of the rivers flowing into the
Missouri River.

Missouri Dept of Natural Resources

This book tells a little bit about some of the rivers
in northern Missouri. This book is not popular because all
of the streams are muddy. Yet some of us still live close
enough to float them.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission

A very good book. I have tried to list the streets
instead of general directions. The GPS readings could
make the ramps easier to find. Some have been closed,
some new ones are not listed.

Sportsman's Atlas Co

These can be bought in the Walmart at Council Bluffs.
