Right on the north side of the RR tracks behind the cement grain elevator towers
is a MFA fuel station w/tire repair. Easy walking from the ramp. There are many businesses
on the road next to the river. This means level ground to get fuel or supplies.
There is a Casey's on the hill at 3rd and Commerce st. There were open on Thanksgiving.
They plan to build restrooms with showers. They will accommodate RV's and Campers.
They are working on having 2 murials painted depicting the area
during and immediately after the 1804 time period.
There will be an attempt to change the old Corp of Engineers dock into a marina
with fuel and a pumpout. This would go well with their new double boar ramp.
The Discovery Expedition group may camp there on Friday June 11 2004.
